The Neighbour’s
Garden

Welcome to the Neighbour’s Garden.

A space of creativity, community, healing and transformation.

Here, marginal spaces are re-imagined for their creative potential, and identities and narratives are reclaimed. This project was created as an initiative to subvert stereotypes, re-member feminist poetics and amplify women’s stories through community based programming and poetic voice.

This has included collaborating with libraries, art galleries, literary organisations and grassroots community organisations.

Last year we hosted a first of it’s kind South Asian Feminist Poetics Festival and Exhibition, and we are back again this year with an even bigger programme.

Our inclusive programming is open to all women.

About

Dr Mona Manjot Dhaliwal, is a writer, researcher and creative practitioner. Her poetry has been published widely and her research has inspired creative collaborations.

Inspired by her PhD research, Manjot created the Neighbour's Garden poetry project to highlight overlooked histories, re-member feminist poetics and to amplify women’s voices. 

She specialises in designing and facilitating research informed creative spaces for women. She also offers curriculum development, consultancy, programming and facilitation services.  Get in touch for more information.
